Doing a Mediterranean cruise later in the year and was looking for any suggestions please for a sim card for Ipad so I can keep in touch with my elderly parents at home. Don't fancy paying £30 a day for wifi on the boat. Thanks Percol

You're unlikely to get much of a signal while at sea. Do you mean to use it only at ports?

Scott.

I would look at a monthly contract SIM that allows roaming and with a cap that you can specify. That way if you connect to a maritime network by mistake you don't run up a massive bill.

There are often limits on data so you might need to estimate your usage. Probably fine for general use and social media but if your gonna be downloading uhd movies everyday it might rack up.

Lebara do no contract low cost sim only deals (see Uswitch). We have taken med cruises several times and depending on the route you are often in reach of a mobile signal.

Tried the Lebara card but only got it to work in Malta. Failed in other countries supposedly supported, Italy, Greece, Spain.
