I'm not a fan of conversation (aka threaded) view in email so I have it turned off in General settings on the Gmail app on my Android 12 phone.

I have several accounts set up that the phone picks up emails from (all IMAP) and it does, indeed, show messages unthreaded when I'm looking at the Inbox of any one of them, but if I choose All inboxes then messages are shown threaded.

Damn annoying ... anyone know how to stop it? Googling hasn't found a solution......

Why do you have so many inboxes?

I only have 1 and try to limit the number of emails that I receive.
I switched from yahoo to gmail after the security breach.
My gmail is 2.5% full.
My inbox has 177 emails over the last 2 years.
I no longer use my ISP email.
I own my surname as a domain (so I can be reached as first@last.com).
I use en email forwarder on that for finance related emails.

Not as bad as my brother.
He uses hotmail and used to have an inbox with 50000 emails!
I asked him why he had never sorted them into folders. He did eventually.
He's computer illiterate.
