Evri is my preferred courier, I've very rarely experienced a problem with them, either sending or receiving. Way better than Yodel, UPS, and the likes (DPD is also good)
Also I've never had a problem from scammers. I'm pretty good at blocking email addresses that are scams and they get reported and moved to Spam automatically.
