Freezing uncooked fruit cake mixture

#7220

Postby Phoenix » November 21st, 2016, 7:02 am

Bit desperate following a minor crisis! Is it possible to freeze raw Christmas cake mixture? Failing freezing how long can I leave it in the fridge before baking?

Many thanks for any advice,

Phoenix

I don't see why not. You might want to add a bit more raising agent as I suspect the air trapped in the mix might escape a bit.

This might help provide pointers, according to the ingredients in your cake...

Thank you for your replies. In the end I put it in the fridge overnight and baked it when life was calmer
All seems to be well. However I will keep the link to the site with advice.
