Did you take the instructions on the Polyfilla too literally?

Sorry, someone had to get that in, too.

Re: I can't get into work

Wind back 40 years and my father was taking me and my sister to our respective schools in the snow. Normally a 30-40 minute drive, but today we were crawling along in the all but stationary traffic. Radio Bristol was doing its bit updating everyone on the road and school closures and, in due course,...

Just one note. You don't have to file digitally if your vatable turnover is below the VAT threshold (£85K).

Seems a good a time as any to show this. in 2014, I was asked to provide an Aerial shot of Fullers to front its virtual Tour. Not sure which image was used, but here's the Tour entry: https://www.fullers.co.uk/tours/insiders.html Click on 'Where am I' at the bottom. and here's one of the shots I too...

Re: Halfords over sold

Retail is a minefield and one has to be very picky about which businesses to buy into. I cannot remember the last time that I held MKS for instance and am out of food retail for the foreseeable future, having sold my last one, SBRY on the spike when it announced its merger with ASDA. Having said tha...

They might be regretting their sponsorship deal with TalkTalk, though

The data rates from New Horizons' 15-watt transmitter are also glacial as a consequence. Information trickles into Nasa's big antenna network at a maximum of 1,000 bits per second. [having taken 6 hours to make the journey].

Re: Airport drone problem

I don't know much about drone control, but I would not be surprised if the transmitter just sent a quick burst of control data to the drone, which then operates autonomously until it receives the next control signal. If my suspicion is correct (a big if) then there would be very little time for any...

Re: The BODMAS mathematical rule.

This equation challenge is always circling the Interweb somewhere. It's clearly been set up as a deliberately ambiguous equation to polarise opinion and create discussion. Within current Mathematical rules it cannot be interpreted in just one way and therefore, as previous posters have stated or all...

I too feel sorry for Theresa May who has the impossible job of agreeing a compromise deal between different factions who simply don't want to compromise. Well I did feel a bit sorry for her up until she cancelled the vote yesterday. Pretty shoddy disregard for Parliament, but I now realise her game...

Re: Who'd be Theresa?

She's our MP and it amazes me when you look at her schedule - House of Commons, Argentina, HoC, Whistlestop tour of Britain, HoC, Brussels etc - and then realise that not only does she seem to get home for church on Sundays but is in the local paper pretty much every week supporting her constituents...
