Re: Government Gateway account.

Oh great, I'm quite pleased I started all this kerfuffle!
I just go to the Gov.uk home page and put Government Gateway in the search box. It seems to work for me....
Sorry I can't post a proper link, I just can't.

Government Gateway account.

I am signed up for this service with the government, via a 12 digit number and a password, in the usual way to most of us, it worked well last week when I had an income tax query, in addition to secure sign in, they phone to give a unique PIN, yes sorry I know you know all this, my question is, how ...

Re: Will advice

Thank you tractorian, for starting this thread, and highlighting the possible problems, it is exactly the situation I am in. My solicitor did mention how unpleasant charities can be when several are bequeathed legacies as a percentage value, but she said it in an offhand way, and I never gave it muc...

Re: The Ladybird book of whom......???

Ah yes, a noble thought, but yesterday I noticed it was reduced to half price, I think I might buy it for a friend at the new price. Perhaps our favourite Scottish-golf course owner's tentacles are failing?

However, spellcheck will fortunately now compensate to a large degree and maybe it no longer matters as much as it used to, sad though that is to us pedants.[/quote] Unfortunately for us pedants, Spellcheck will always give us the American spelling. It seems very common, people, professional writers...

I'd second Kew Gardens, although 4 hours might not be enough, there and back, etc

The Ladybird book of whom......???

I had no idea Ladybird books were still being published, but I noticed today in Tesco's library the Ladybird book of Donald Trump! Obviously sarcastic, derisive and amazed at how he got where he is. Google described it as charming, I don't know about that, maybe they were being sarcastic too. At £8 ...

Re: Welsh Lamb

Personally I prefer fresh Welsh lamb to frozen New Zealand lamb and am prepared to pay a bit extra for it. Isn't an awful lot of the New Zealand lamb sold in the UK now fresh* and not frozen (*fresh being very chilled but not frozen whilst it is shipped by sea) - pedantic I know. I think I read som...

Re: Car accident - Category N

I think the penny has finally dropped with a few insurance companies and they realise offering a better deal to new customers, than to 'loyal' one does not work any more, although it's taken us a long time to cotton on, now its so easy to shop around on the internet why does anyone auto-renew? Last ...

Re: Cricket WC final

Not a memorable WC final until the last over. There seemed a total lack of urgency on both sides for a lot of the match. Maybe they both wanted to lose??

Definitely a bowler's wicket though.

Re: Investment in Cannabis, Marijuana firms

I notice all the previous posts are 6 months or so old, so things have probably moved on since then. I've been pestered by emails from TMF over the past couple of weeks about the phenomenal opportunities in investing in marijuana stocks. They have done a lot of research into this market and they tel...
