Re: Investegate email alerts stopped arriving

I'm with Virgin Media (@virginmedia.com) which is (I think) run by gmail. I'm in the same boat as others around here, in that I had no problems up to 18/10, but nothing delivered since then. I have scoured the Virgin Media webmail site, and can find lots of ways to blacklist/block/refuse specific se...

Re: MNG - M&G demerged from Prudential

...it's a fascinating read, worthy of the Booker Prize...

Personally, I felt the Nobel Prize for Literature was more appropriate, but what do I know.....

Thank you both for your help - I guess I'll just have to wait for Sharecast to get their act together....

MNG - M&G demerged from Prudential

Would anybody be able to point me towards how to modify my HYP top-up spreadsheet to include MNG in my portfolio?

Many thanks.

Re: Greene King PLC (GNK)

As a regular user of the shareholder food & drink vouchers, I have just booked my first hotel break using the shareholder discount code - it's called getting the most value out of the shares..... I'm hoping that the new management create some kind of loyalty scheme to replace the shareholder sch...

Re: PYAD HYP 2019_04 DRAWDOWN – Year 1

Thanks, Ian. I'm currently waiting for the proceeds from Greene King and also Cobham, which will be added to the last quarter's dividend receipts, resulting in a roughly 12% uplift in the portfolio's valuation and overall dividend yield. Deliberations will take place over the next six weeks or so - ...

Re: Aviva Half Yearly.

As IanTHughes says, the 8.3% dividend (LGEN = 7.2%), the cover of 1.9x (LGEN = 1.8x) and P/E of 6.8 (LGEN = 8.0) added together to tip the scales in favour of Aviva. My OCD-biased thought process was also influenced by the fact that the BKG cash was in my ISA acount which also holds my existing stak...

Re: Aviva Half Yearly.

Well, I've put half the cash realised by my recent sale of BKG into Aviva. I certainly wasn't holding AV. in the halcyon days of 2001, but I am around break-even on the capital side, whilst seeing reasonable dividend growth over my holding period. The balance of the BKG cash, plus accumulated divide...

Re: Investegate email alerts

I was expecting a couple of results RNSs on 24th June (I remember that ITV was one, for example) and they did not appear in my inbox. I logged into TLF, and on the HYP-Practical board, there was idpickering with his ever-reliable "here's the RNS" service... So clearly, he got them. My miss...

Re: Is Berkeley Group (BKG) a high yield share?

Well, I sold out completely on 26th July. Apart from having put up with the sub-par dividend yield for longer than many others would have, I decided that proceeds approaching £40/share would enable me to invest in a proper (c5% yield) share and ratchet up my annual income significantly. So, the sear...

Re: A Cobham tinker.

Hi SDN123 - My COB purchase history bears an almost spooky resemblance to yours as listed..... I haven't rushed to the SELL button yet, as I am hoping that a trade buyer may emerge to offer the chance of a modest auction - my initial reading this morning says that (1) the current management has made...

Is Berkeley Group (BKG) a high yield share?

I have held BKG shares in my HYP since December 2014. At the time, the shares were around £25 each, and the dividend paid for the 2014/15 year was 180p/share. For 2015/16, the dividend increased to 200p/share, with the share price moving up to around £30. For the 2016/17 year, BKG stopped talking ab...

Re: ITV Half Yearly Report.

Has anyone spotted the XD and payment dates for ITV's interim dividend?

I checked through the RNS, and also on the ITV website, under both /Financial Calendar and /Shareholder Information/Dividends, but there's nothing there.....

TIA.

Re: Non-Standard Finance bid for Provident Financial

Currently, my intention is to hold on and see what happens.

Same here - there's a way to go yet.

My impression is that PFG has been winning the PR war, as the only supporters of the bid are those who hold shares in both sides.

Good luck to all holders.....

Re: JLT - all over bar the shouting

JLT has worked out well for me, and ranks second in my current list of holdings in terms of capital gain. As others have said, the dividend performance has not been sparkling, but as a habitual non-tinkerer the company would really have to offend me before I press the Sell button....

I hold slightly less than my average holding, but have a number of other shares in the construction se...
