Re: Nationwide - Unkown Dividend

Yes, you've got to laugh, with all this money laundering / security stuff...

"Can you tell me who sent me this money?"

"No, we can't tell you that, it's a secret"

As Scott says, they just verify your account details as per anytime you would phone them about any aspect of your account.

Re: Nationwide axing 3% interest on Flexplus Accounts

I had to claim the Travel Insurance part last year and found it all paid out ok, we've both used the car breakdown several times and they have been attended to promptly.

Re: Nationwide axing 3% interest on Flexplus Accounts

"They have four accounts not exactly the same but comparable" You can compare it of course but the only account they have that provides the same items (Worldwide Travel, Phones, Cars) is £7 per month more expensive, so now that I've compared it I don't see that it's better, it also doesn't...

Which RBS account is that?, the only one I can see that is comparable is £20 per month whereas Nationwide is £13.

Re: Gas pipe size

The existing boiler is a Glowworm Ultimate 80FF which I believe is about 23 / 24 KW ? Both guys spoke about the new pipe possibly being 28mm so far then dropping to 22mm but they would calculate it in advance if they are awarded the work. I have it in my mind now that using the existing pipe is not ...

3rd guy out this afternoon and as soon as he looked at the steel pipe he declared it as the steel equivalent of 15mm copper and that it could not be used.

Re: Gas pipe size

"What size is the boiler?" The boiler is either a Greenstar 38CDi Classic or Greenstar 42CDi Classic, not too sure what you mean by size exactly, it is stated as 30KW ? Both surveyors are from Worcester's accredited installers list, as will the others who have still to look at it, so no co...

Re: Mobile plans in Canada

My brother lives in Edmonton and is amazed at the relatively low cost of mobile phone plans in the UK, there is basically a monopoly in Canada and they take full advantage of it, there is no such thing as a cheap plan I'm afraid, to my knowledge anyway.

Re: Vacating a property

Up until the date of entry it is up to the existing owner to leave the property in the same condition as when the sale was agreed is it not?, after the date of entry it is the new owner's responsibility to do with it as they see fit.

Re: Holders of International Driving Permit

I got one of these in 2013 when there was a story going round about needing it for Florida Car Hire, I was never asked for it. I was back in Florida in 2014 & 2015 and didn't buy a new one and again it wasn't an issue, they simply want to see your photo driving license, they weren't interested i...
