Ghastly.

I can;t think of anything else I dislike as much - in fact that I just would not eat. Even tripe is OK in small amounts in a soup/stew. Though its probably twenty years since I did!

Re: fraudsters sentenced

It baffles me why the government banned commission on products sold by at least semi-respectable companies like Standard Life and RSA, but apparently saw no reason to place any restrictions at all on `alternative' (aka fraudulent) investments, which even now are being sold quite legally by fraudste...

Re: Goods in long-term storage, household-name company recently not replying re: status

Anyway, welcome back. I was working abroad for 23 years and even with regular return visits it felt like a foreign country to me when I returned to the UK permanently. Even today 20 years or so later there are great swathes of UK life/events that I suddenly realise I do not know about. Dod Me too D...

Re: breakdown cover companies - experiences?

FTR those companies listed are the ones that a moneysupermarket check came out cheaper than GEM. We have a family policy with GEM (reclaim) which we are more than happy with but now have a 5th driver in the family and GEM only cover 4 ... so a separate policy needs taking out for the 5th driver (dau...

Re: Splitting an occupied inheritance property

I thought I'd replied at length but it doesn't appear to have made it here. oh well - I basically said what CK and Dod did. Ultimately I can just see it being far easier in the long term to sell, divvy up the cash, and Ian make his own choices and solutions in life. good luck whatever you decide. di...

Re: Free Halfords MOT

leaving aside the free MOTs... DAK if a Halfords MOT "fails" can they "do the work" with a free re-test (or guaranteed pass anyway), or is it a case of take it away, fix it, and return for another (presumably paid) re-test?

Maybe Halfords dont; do repairs of course in which case - excellent deal!
