You can find its entire list of holdings at the end of last year in the trust's own interim report, which is obtainable from the "Interim Report" link at https://www.murray-income.co.uk/ - there are 58 of them, so that's probably what the report you've found is based on. My own HYP has 11...

We're used to seeing timelapse videos of the Milky Way rotating in the night sky, but this video delivers a fantastic slant on that by being filmed from an equatorial mount which maintains a static Milky Way and rotates the camera to compensate for the rotation of the Earth - https://www.youtube.com...

Re: Greene King £8.50 bid - possible income options for proceeds....

I did buy Greene King (GNK) in my HYP days and still hold it in my non-tax-sheltered part of my portfolio. Since it was a foray outside of the FTSE100 I always viewed it as one of my slightly more racy HYP selections and as such it had a relatively low weighting. I mention that because to some exte...

In the round I would see such an income-transition proposal as being beneficial for a number of reasons - ⋅ More diverse income - coming from a wide 'internal-spread' of IT holdings ⋅ ... But what do you see when you look at the diversification of your total portfolio's underlyi...

Re: Paying off the mortgage.

Are there any other considerations we should have to let the current mortgage instead run its course until December 2023? Any 'pure' financial costs or savings should be able to be calculated fairly easily, so why I'm posting isn't really about the financial side of things... I think the final act ...

Re: Greene King - SOLD!

I have sinned and sold down a good proportion. GNK were one of those on my worry list because of the B word. The increase in price had put GNK in 4th place capital wise in my portfolio, behind 2 ITs and ULVR, and just in front of RDSB. I'll have a think overnight on the rest. These are nice problem...

Greene King £8.50 bid - possible income options for proceeds....

Many years ago, when my HYP mainly consisted of single-share holdings, I used to view relatively high-offer surprise-bids as a bit of a pain because it meant that I had to find a new home for the 'released' capital, and I often saw that as introducing new risk into my portfolio, as I was often reall...

Re: Search and copy certain files please?

Something like: xcopy z:\*. epub c:\yourfolder /s (where the SD card is here mounted as a Z: drive) ? I think that will also copy and maintain any sub-folder structure from the source, which may or may not be what NmNh is looking for? In case it isn't, and he wishes to 'flatten' any folder sub-stru...

High Yield Investment Trusts - AIC Sector and Yield table (August 2019)

With the market off it's recent highs, I wanted to start to look for some decently-yielding collective-investments, so below is a table of Investment Trusts in August 2019 with a yield over 2.5%, broken down by AIC Sector, and then listed in descending order of yield per sector - L=Company name||Man...

I've made a new video to show how the improvement to the ' Sector Weighting ' granularity for Investment Trusts can easily be implemented by any users who might wish to see improved IT-sector definition in their portfolios. I've compiled a small HYPTUSS demo portfolio of 5 income-IT's, which if we l...

I am new to posting here, but not new at the investing lark, having started in the early seventies on what has been a long and interesting journey. Finally, as far as HYP and ITs go, HYP was designed to eliminate third party fees, whether from an IFA, pensions company or "complex product"...
