Re: Diversifying away from the UK through IT

Should I stick with what is working, or is IT's the better bet as I feel I am being more than lucky overall. I am in it for the long term so happy to sink in and wait for something to rebound if it goes wrong. If I do go for IT's what would be a good ration to work towards. I am thinking 90/10, get...

Re: Basket of Eight: 2019 review

... This thread seems to me to be particularly so because the traditional HYP shares are so bombed out and even the tobaccos seem to have an uncertain future. No wonder we are turning to ITs. Dod Whilst I am one of those who have ditched an HYP for an IT basket, am I the only one who wonders whethe...

OK so this topic should be in the HY Shares and Strategies - General forum or the Investment Strategies forum or anywhere but HYP - Practical because I am not strict orthodox and some of what I wrote was too open ended ... How do I shift it or bin it? I have reported it for you. A moderator, hopefu...

Re: Sun cream, mosquito repellant, bite soothing ointment - which order?!

The constant holiday dilemma. Half way through holiday and an array of mosquito bites to manage (not that many this time), but what order do I put on sun cream, mosquito repellent and bite soothing ointment? Does it matter and why hasn't anyone developed a 3 in 1 combo cream?!! The 3 in 1 has cross...

Re: Not informing banks of a death

Interestingly when I informed HSBC of my mums death, even with lpoa, the account was frozen. The only money I was allowed was to pay for the funeral. What I had to do was open an account purely for reclaiming and paying anything out. Seems they have moved on since those days

Re: Not informing banks of a death

https://www.moneyadviceservice.org.uk/en/articles/what-to-do-when-someone-dies#what-you-need-to-do-straight-away-after-a-death This gives a good list of who and when. It seems to be the same as age concern. It says When? Ideally, as soon as possible after receiving the death certificate, or within ...

I believe the notifications were for a thread that has been moved to the moderators own forum from a forum that you had notifications turned on. I may be wrong but that I believe is the reason here.

Moving to HY ITs from HYP.

Made a decision over the weekend to work towards making my SIPP a HY IT portfolio. I started out in 2015 with a roughly 50:50 split between ITs and HY Shares. It was my first move away from HYP and came about after a very good thread on TMF about what to do with your portfolio if you no longer want ...

Re: HYPTUSS 11.70 updated to 11.71

Glad I could help. I do not look at my hyptuss much now as in drawdown (mostly). So only if updating divi's or rare buys. But always take the latest when I do any updates and use a standard set of tests as well as testing any "bug" fixes or new features. Always liked the testing side of IT...

My mistake missed it. Sorry. Usually I do not read the user guide (was an engineer so ingrained) but was looking for something else. Never looked but did you update the datasheet part to copy in just the changes?

Re: New HYPTUSS versions 11.70 and b-l

OK, found that Kiloran had changed one of the Digital Datasheet entries to Companyk datasheet by mistake. Changing it to "Company datasheet" fixed the problem. I lie. It now takes me always to WPPs web-site. Found that there is a missing line from the visual basic. Changed the following a...
