Re: Interactive Investor - Third Party Mandates and Power of Attorney

My wife and I also had TPM's on each others accounts and I only found out about their cancellation when they refused to take instructions from me over the phone. We easily got over this by my wife going through security then handing the phone to me. On line I continued to operate her account as we b...

Re: SSE PLC Results

I am not sure by any means but does the cut in dividend reflect the restructure of the company after the split. Key developments in 2018/19 In its Notification of Close Period statement on 29 March, SSE said that the 2018/19 financial year is expected to be one of transition for the SSE group. Key d...

Yes it brings back memories for me too. My secondary school was London Nautical and the uniform was a Merchant Navy Officers Uniform. Needless to say my uniform did not turn up in time and off I went on first day in shorts. Marilyn Monroe didn't receive as many wolf whistles in her life time as I di...

Re: Greene King - share price up 6% today

Hi MDW1954 While income is the main concern on this board once invested the income is what it is ie the dividends paid. Should you be forced to sell for whatever reason it is preferable for the price to be in your favour. Should the price rise reducing the yield to an unacceptable level you can sell...

Re: Greene King - share price up 6% today

Hi OLTB

Just arrived home and agree it was a very nice surprise, must be due to the improving weather.

Looked at the short position but no change there for a few days. Maybe it will take one or two days to be reported, or a RNS re an increased holding.

May the sun continue to shine. :D

I am with Dod101 on this one, let the boards flow. We are all adults and can skip posts easily I do it all the time especially from posters with form.
Is Off Topic really such a crime it can often be amusing and informative.

Hi Slarti
How do you know they are male?
We have a pair of nesting Blackbirds in the garden and I can't tell them apart.
Must agree though the birds antics are great to watch.

Re: Ordinary v Preferential shares - impact?

Hi didds Just got back in and caught up with the posts. As an example if you did buy 2500 shares at £1.76 per share costing £4,400 you now own 25 shares which coincidently are still worth £1.76 a share which are now worth £44. Unfortunately leaves you with a 99% capital loss. Sorry about that but th...

Yes that's right.
At today's price of circa £1.76 that's 1.76p per share before consolidation

Re: Ordinary v Preferential shares - impact?

Hi didds
The shares were consolidated on a 1 for every 100 basis.I believe the pref shares or bond holders mostly converted, but in anyway ordinary shareholders were treated as I have said.
