Re: BHP Group Results

This from TMF; Don’t panic! This FTSE 100 dividend stock still looks a solid long-term hold to me So long as you feel comfortable with a bit of volatility, getting exposure to commodities through one or a few listed companies can be seriously profitable. FTSE 100 constituent BHP Group (LSE: BHP) is ...

Re: Bit BAT bullet

[ I'd say that was a rather cheeky, even disdainful remark. I could retort, what a shame you bought too soon - you could have come in nearly 5% lower than that. Am I really bothered about getting a 6.9% yield in place of your 7.5? No - it is still a very high yield, and I reckon with the price bein...

Re: HSBC Results

This from TMF; This is what I’d do about the HSBC share price right now Shareholders in Asia-focused bank HSBC Holdings (LSE: HSBA) tend to buy the shares for their reliable dividend income. However, the HSBC share price dipped on Tuesday morning after the FTSE 100 bank’s 2018 results came in below ...

Re: Bit BAT bullet

I topped up BATs on 16 January at £25. It is a bit late in the day to wait until the price has risen by more than 10% before topping up. Mind you I expect the price still has some way to go. That was with some of the proceeds of Vodafone. Dod Thanks for your input Dod. I get that I might’ve missed ...

If you aren't tempted by this (down 4.2% as I type), we've got Lloyd's to look forward to tomorrow! :o

A buying opportunity as of now, with the stock down 1.8% as I type. I have enough, so not for me today.

Re: HSBC Results

Thanks Ian. Nothing very exciting there but then we did not expect any excitement. They have already said that they will maintain the dividend for 2018 and 2019 at the current level. For us income seekers it is not great news but not unexpected. At least there are no disasters, and an increase in d...

One to pick up when there's a decent yield on offer, like Diageo or Unilever. I've held since 2011.

Best wishes

Mark.

I couldn't agree more ADrunkenMarcus. They are a fine company IMHO.

Re: Reckitt Benckiser Full Year Results.

RB. up 4% on market opening, so a nice bonus for any holders around here. I suspect there might be a few.
