Skype problem...

I have Skype on my Huawei smartphone and inspite of playing with it for ages on various occasions, I haven't found out how to delete the recent call list.
I'm sure that it must be very simple when you know how...

Any help would be appreciated!

Re: Disposal of a tablet or two…

Infrasonic You can get cheap adapters/cables, male mini/micro USB to standard USB2/3 female OTG. Alas, this is hypothetical now because the Nexus 7 has been disassembled and various pieces destroyed. Good to know for next time though! Pity, because it was an excellent tablet. Tablets are useful, bu...

Re: Disposal of a tablet or two…

BobbyD Have you tried connecting a keyboard via the USB? I'm afraid that its too late now because I have dismantled the tablet and destroyed what I think are the memory chips with a wire cutter. However, there was only one mini slot on the Google for charging the battery. Is this mini slot a USB sl...

Re: Disposal of a tablet or two…

Infrasonic

Thanks for the youtube clip, but I'm not sure that my wife would be too happy if I was to use the micro wave in our kitchen!

I believe that it would make an really excellent job of destroying the tablet!

Re: Disposal of a tablet or two…

staffordian On a serious note, if I had a tablet which was definitely beyond repair, I would take the opportunity to dismantle it to see what was inside. I'd then smash anything which looked vaguely like a storage entity and then either dump it in the bin or take it to the recycling centre (aka loc...

Re: Disposal of a tablet or two…

Infrasonic

If they get repaired they'd probably get wiped anyway.

There is no data on the tablets, just the passwords which give access to the linked email address. If Samsung repair it and it gets a factory reset, it isn't a problem to reset the passwords and email accounts...

Disposal of a tablet or two…

I've had a unusable Google Nexus 7 lying around for a couple of years now, collecting dust. Certain areas of the touch screen became inactive, so it was impossible to enter the password to be able to use it. The repairing cost made it uneconomic to buy a new screen. I ended up buying a cheapy replac...

BobGe Over the years, I had a couple of HP PC s and both of them had problems on delivery and through out their lifetime. I've also had more than a few Dell PC's and laptops and have always been very pleased with them. It may still be a little early to say, but apart from the problem I had installi...

Installation of sandbox...

I have very recently bought a new Dell PC, an Inspiron 3670. The PC came with W10, has the Mc Afee suite of security programs and Windows Defender. I successfully loaded various other software, including Malwarebytes (Premium) and the latest free edition of Ccleaner. I have used Sandboxie for many, ...
