Google backup and sync

For many months this has been performing quietly in the background. Recently (about 2 weeks ago) it wanted me to sign in. I did so, but it just repeated the request. So I accessed signin (as suggested) via my browser instead and got the following: [Fiddler] The socket connection to localhost failed....

Real grass vs artificial

My front lawn is a mess - not helped by the dry summer. Area about 45 sq metres. A new lawn will need the top removing as it is about 35 years old (ie original when the house was built, before my time here) and the ground leveling. It has poor drainage, owing to compaction over the years. Advantages...

Mildew on grapes

This is my first year of growing grapes in a greenhouse and I find that many of the bunches are infected with mildew. The door has been open night and day for weeks as has the the roof window. Should I remove all bunches that are infected? I have been removing infected leaves, but I notice that even...

Re: New phone SIM

I have always found my local 02 shop extremely helpful over any problems I have had trying to get to grips with my mobile. You don't have to be an o2 customer or have a mobile purchased from them. Usually the shop staff can help me when I walk in. Occasionally I have to book to see an o2 gru, but th...

Kiloran, I tried yahoo, webfg and morningstar - and failed! Hence asking for help. Oh well, will have to ignore funds - which I tend to do anyway. Thanks.

Re: Linsell Train Global class D

Bluestone, I did a search for IE00BJSPMJ28 under mutual funds and nothing came up on a Selftrade search. Only class A and B appear when searching for Lindsell Train global. (your link didn't work for me). So I just entered IE00BJSPMJ28 under the general search and it appeared. Most strange. But than...

Linsell Train Global class D

Does anyone know of a broker who offers this OIEC other than Hargreaves Lansdown? Class B seems to be generally available but not class D - which has a lower ongoing charge.

Re: Selftrade price increase

I only found the secure message by chance - no message telling me I had that secure message (as opposed to the annoying messages re a dividend).
Before they have always offered a free trasfer out on a price change, but I see no mention of that this time.

Re: Problems with TV reception

Today I was visited by Freeview aerial guys. I have had lengthy conversations with Freeview (08081000288) in which I was asked to try various things - including doing a re-tune with the aerial disconnected and then repeated with it connected. The call centre in the end decided that I needed a FREE a...

Re: Problems with TV reception

According to at800 I have not been sent a postcard and should not be affected by the new mobile signals Looking at the Sutton Colfield, I am afraid that it could have been written in chinese as far as I am concerned. Inspecting the table at the end of the site states ch40 (BBC HD channels) is B, ch4...

Thanks for all that - I will get working!
