Only on the HSDL website nowadays. They removed the email inform arrangement, hence the topic here.

Re: FDP - 1st Derivatives

Quite amazing timing with last years 'negative reports' immediately preceding the start of the October rout. It's difficult to know which resulted in the greater concern. After some months in the doldrums the s/p is on the rise and again it's difficult to know how much of this is due to long positio...

That's a fair point, maybe they could arrange to have a calendar switch for that?

Re: The Probate Tax is back

I stick by what I have said above. Let's go back to the pre-2010 position and lose the transferable main residence allowance worth up to £140,000 and reinstate the previous probate fees. Get real!Eb. But you are making the case for a tax, which this is not supposed to be. "Fees are an essentia...

Should have bought an discounted HP Business PC (e.g. HP 800 series) - probably no more expensive, better quality and better warranty. ;-)

If you only need to do this occasionally there are plenty of on-line utilities, e.g.:

Or you can Google it...

Not sure which front page you are looking at but you probably need to consider it in GBP, not GBX, so £14.99. (WFG think in Euros and Cents.)

Re: Limit orders on Selftrade

Not sure I understand this. The OP said: Not that one, but the one to which you originally referred. :-) (176799) and I explained the limit orders are never guaranteed to activate,... So it shouldn't come as a surprise if a limit order does not execute. When looks for service, one looks at what's o...

Re: Limit orders on Selftrade

In BobGe's case they are saying "Tough, because our T&Cs say we will cancel orders." So which is it? Are they committed to cancelling orders when corporate actions occur or not? Do bear in mind that I think what they wrote was erronious, for reasons mentioned in the original post. Per...

Re: Limit orders on Selftrade

However I believe you have misunderstood. A limit order to buy MUST not execute above the order price. It MAY (but need not) execute below the order price. [If you require your trade to execute you need a stop or market order.] In other words there is no breach of contract if Selftrade fail to exec...

Re: Limit orders on Selftrade

BobGe, this is very interesting as I have been told the opposite in a recent dispute with Selftrade. In my case Selftrade executed my limit order on ex-dividend date having failed to either cancel the order the day before or adjust the price for the dividend. Therefore they in effect executed the b...

Re: Limit orders on Selftrade

Following on from previous post, Selftrade did eventually respond, when poked. They advised that the IT had confirmed that after some changes to the system 'several weeks ago' (a vague timescale) some limit orders were not activating. They said this had been fixed by a system update in early Novembe...
