Killing Eve

Anyone here watched it? Just seen the first episode.

I thought it an excellently produced, acted and scripted drama. Very tongue in cheek assassin drama, sort of Tarantinoesque in a British sense of humour way.

Re: The Catholic Church and Original Sin?

Quite sad that everyone here including the moderators is willing to let Beeswax repeatedly get away with his anti-Christian hate speech, and yet I am fairly sure that he would be roundly condemned by most people here if he ever used any Islamophobic or anti-semitic language. What a sad little land ...

when i were a nipper etc etc for toy boxes my mum used to get what she cal;led "orange boxes". My recollection is of fairly rough wooden crates approx twice as long as their wide or deep. Imagine two perfect cvubes side by side with one side of the (now) rectangular box open (though it st...

He and his message not necessarily welcome round here but a review of non-alcoholic lagers. Might give that Sainsburys Czeck lager a whirl. As I've mentioned here the Franziskaner wheat is good. And on Saturday I saw that Wetherspoons were selling non-alcholic Adnams Ghost Ship and reading up they ...

Re: A handy guide!

Be careful. Urban Dictionary is a superb resource (?), but it did introduce me to the meaning of the world's most disgusting word. 6 letters. Starts with 'F' I am aware of that word. Hmm - actually, are you sure it's 6, not 5 letters? If so, you'll have to PM me! Mel I think the "t" is op...

Re: Rear mech mount

I had a look and the old Shimano one I have is a bit different in that it fits around the wheel nut.

Here is a Sheldon Brown link with all you ever needed to know about compatibility of chain etc.

Re: Rear mech mount

... to answer my own question I think I'm after a "direct fit" one ... Yes, from the photo it looks like there is no intermediate hanger but the derailleur bolts straight to the frame. Like one of these https://www.ebay.co.uk/p/Shimano-Rear-Derailleur-Ty300-6-7-Speed-Direct-Black/17675932...

Are you really suggesting that this was the first time Musk had had a toke?

As to the rest of it i would agree that it is no big deal.

9% of your income over £25K for the next 30 years is not exactly nothing is it? What about all the students who decide to live and work overseas after graduation? Presumably they are not troubled by any obligation to repay their loan, and no withholding can take place. Indeed, that very loan may be...

Re: Protecting the lenses: UV filter, hood or both?

I use a uv filter on all my lenses except my macro which doesn't really need it, a decent quality one should not degrade the image significantly.

Hoods should be used to avoid lens flare, they can have a secondary role as protection.
