Re: Barclays Smart Investor

More Bozo incompetence: I logged in today after a few weeks holiday and inspected the Buy/Sell buttons against my various Investment Trusts. All were OK EXCEPT for MRCH (Merchant Investment Trust) which only had a Sell button next to it? I have owned this for ever and they have my National Insurance...

Re: Dilemma on diet anti candida

Have you seen this?

The first item is don,t eat sugar. It feeds some ailments.

We have managed 13 days eating nothing with added sugar (nor alcohol or cheese) and lost weight of course.

Flight connection re-allocation

How does an airline deal with hundreds of people who have arrived at an intermediate airport who have missed the connecting flight? A flight from UK to Dubai was late owing to weather and the connecting was missed. People have been put in hotels but how does an airline (emirates) deal with the back ...

Keeping House Deeds

Please:

Is it necessary to have paper house deeds for a house bought 30 years ago?

Where to keep them?

Can an executor manage to sell the house without paper deeds?

Re: Australia

That,s a fair dinkum read.

I didn,t like the thought that so many mortgages are interest only, thus feeding a debt mountain.

And that unfunded Chinese are fuelling the house prices.

Re: Selftrade's new website

My friend also cannot get the Regular Investment page.

After a call to ST, they told me to clear browsing history. This had no effect.

Eventually the Manager said it was my computer settings.

Maybe the latest Windows updates and ipad updates have messed the system about?

Putting TV licence on Direct Debit

My licence expires 31 March 2018.

I have set up an annual DD for next year but their system offers just 4 dates for the DD with no month specified so I have set it for 3rd April.

Does that mean that I will have no licence for 3 days?

Re: Selftrade's new website

The new site asks for an 8 digit number whilst I have just a 6 digit number.

Calling it up a few times seems to help get a 6 digit entry page.

Re: Barclays Smart Investor

Peter, et al,

Do we think that buy/sell fees are added to the £16.99 and then debited from bank a/c?

I have made one or twobuys.

Re: Barclays Smart Investor

Referring to the 3 fees:

One is migration, one might be for November and one for December.

However, if they are capped for 200k then wouldn't that be £16.99 per month?

Re: Stretching and Twitching

We have racked our brains and studied all sorts of stuff that you have referred to and seen the doctor but your last suggestion in the last sentence is what we will try. It wasn't any organised yoga, just all over body stretching for a while in order to be a bit more flexible. It does coincide with ...

Stretching and Twitching

Do you think taking up Yoga and generally doing a stretching program makes one twitch in bed when asleep? As an older male person, recently I have done extra stretching as well as the usual swimming/running/tennis daytime hobbies. However, as soon as I fall asleep I may very frequently twitch strong...
