Copper coins

Are they any use at all? On the VERY rare occasions that I end up with some they go straight to the nearest charity box. On Friday I somehow acquired 2 2p coins, there wasn't a charity box handy so I decided to conduct an experiment. I placed them on top of a wall ( about 4ft 6 high) by the side of ...

Rowan and Martins Laugh In

Last night I discovered this on Amazon.

Holds up remarkably well after 50 years. ( FIFTY! heck I'm old )

It's noticeable that Rowan almost always has a cigarette in his hand - gives him that sophisticated air!

Re: Move of ISA to interactive investor or maybe iweb.

I use ii For my ISA and trading accounts.

No complaints at all - I was with TDD/TDW so there was no change for me.

As I understand it the complaints are about the Research account not the Trading/ISA accounts.

I use both paper and cotton.

Paper for blowing my nose etc. cotton almost exclusively for cleaning my glasses, it also helps to keep coins in my pocket when I sit down.

Daylight saving

The Eu is conducting a survey about getting rid of daylight saving Here is an item about it: https://www.dw.com/en/european-parliament-votes-for-review-of-daylight-saving-time/a-42510308 Oddly it has been proposed by Finland, because in the UK Scotland is most strongly opposed. Re: Going to the tip

...then again! Never mind the workers, WHAT ABOUT THE DRIVERS? Try my local council tip. Final approach is down a straight road, then a further run up by an exactly parallel road running in the opposite direction - imagine a sort of single lane dual carriageway arrangement. So, you need to get from...

In the late 70's the pub we frequented at lunchtime had a bandit with a "nudge" feature. Two of my colleagues mapped out the reels so that we always got the best possible result. We usually made a profit.
