Re: Emirates Airline

In 1996 a hotel would not have been that pricey surely.

Certainly in 1999 less fancy hotels, within the Emirates, were £50 to £70.

You should have gone then. Paul

Re: A good cordless drill to buy?

Lidl on occasion sell 18V drill, circ saw, jig saw at £40 each.

They work marvellously. I've had them over 2 years and they are fine.

Re: Barclays

We have a HSBC invest direct+ account. Having £50k invested enables you to be a premier customer with the associated perks. As of January 2016 a share dealing account fee of £10.50 per quarter was introduced. We have remained with them because the free travel insurance element of the perks far outwa...

I have just doubled our holding by purchasing 1,000 at 164.7p each plus £5 dealing and £8.24 tax.

There are problems, and I know Luni would tell you not to chase yield but I have gone ahead. Paul

Re: RateSetter

It seems I was out of date and too late for the bonus £100.

I did not check the date of the information on the Monevator site.

The rates suggested by your kindly replies are not so attractive, but I will look into all the suggestions. Thank you. Paul

Have many Lemon flavoured Fools become users of this as an investment route?

I just became aware of it from Monevator and consider it a good deal, at least with the £100 reward.

I would welcome any thoughts and advice. Paul.

Re: Trade 1 part one - Sell Fenner

PaulyPilot had good word for it the other day.

Interestingly, a Fool article appeared lauding MGAM.

We are not alone.

Re: I have a plan (of sorts)

PB I bought RTN in March, it was a bargain I thought, but then the 415p I'd paid became 275p. PaulyPilot wrote about it then and went in and out twice as it gained and lost a pound, in April then via Brexit. The dividend is fine, and it is now gaining publicity for the right reasons, summarised by Q...

And imagine after electrification the journey time will be miniscule and train frequency infinate.

Or so we are told. The claim was 4 trains per hour Bath to Paddington taking 75 minutes.

All I heard is it is behind schedule. Paul

Re: I have a plan (of sorts)

Trades with iWEB are £5, so in and out on £1,000 is £10 plus £5 tax. Total = £15 And it just goes up by £5 for every extra £1,000 invested. However, if you were to go in and out of a share the spread will readily eat into your money. I would like to sell my 258 shares in Dialight, and was heartened ...

Re: Cobham

Dod1010 I purchased Cobham in late April at 175p, I had been considering buying for some time and saw this as an excellent opportunity and took up the rights in full. The Fool articles on Cobham up to April this year were generally upbeat (6/8) and the discussion board chatter was overall positive, ...

I'm in! Many thanks for setting this up. I just hope a mass migration of Fools comes this way so that we can still enjoy level headed advice from talented and supportive individuals. Well Done. Paul
