Becker’s fortune was eroded by bad investments and expensive settlement deals.

Let's hope he finds his way here to Lemon Fool - we'll put him right. Better than being in a broom cupboard.

What can't be taken away from him is winning Wimblydon at 17, which I still remember watching. Stunning.

Hah! I see he owes a large debt to a bank I own shares in. Feel free to put in offers, LMF tennis fans! ;)

There seems to be something of a mystery about the villa that he owns - or doesn't own - in Majorca.

There's been recent press coverage of it having been occupied by some `hippies' - https://www.mirror.co.uk/news/world-new ... r-12608553 - and it was on the market in 2007 for £13m.

However, BB has denied ownership - https://twitter.com/theborisbecker/stat ... 1041843202.

I suspect that he's technically correct, in that he doesn't own the villa personally. However, like many villas in Spain it's probably owned by a company, and it might be worth his trustee in bankruptcy asking who owns the shares in the company ... ;)

Becker appears to think he is still marketable.
If I compare 59-year-old McEnroe - who has obviously kept himself physically and mentally fit and is an excellent 'expert' commentator at Wimbledon - with 50 year old Becker (who obviously has not ...ditto... and perhaps is only too aware of it), it reminds me rather sadly of such personalia as George Best and Paul Gascoigne who were exceptionally talented when young but never developed the emotional maturity to handle life when their first career waned.

Looks as if Boris is trying to pull a fast one according to this BBC report at …

Boris Becker claims diplomatic immunity in bankruptcy case

Nice one Boris if the judge will let him get away with it.
