Sorry, this isn't a suggestion to improve the site but more of a question about it.
When you click on a user's name to see their profile it shows Last active under User Statistics.
What does it mean when Last active is blank yet the user posted within the last month or so?

It means they have Hide my online status turned on in their profile. See ucp.php?i=179
