Is it possible to see on screen or download a year's transactions?

I'd like to be able either to display a full year's transactions (to cutnpaste into excel) or to export a full year (eg via a csv file) - but not by paging through multiple screens. Does Barclays online allow for this?

I haven’t looked at online banking*** but on the Barclays App, the transactions seem to go back as far as 2014 all on one scrollable screen, on the many business and personal accounts I have access to, except my main current account which only goes back a year or so.

I’ve no idea if one can capture the data though and have yet to check how far back the statements go, as I’ve deliberately not set up access on this iPad.


*** I have now. Can go as far back as 2014 on my current account and it looks like I can download all transactions in one page numbered lengthy pdf.

The Export All facility appears to be page by page but all in one go, although I haven't tried it to double check.

The choices being:

Spreadsheet eg. Excel
Microsoft ® Money 99
Microsoft ® Money 2000
Microsoft ® Money 2001
Microsoft ® Money 98
Sage Line 50
Microsoft ® Money 2002
Clearlybookkeeping / QuickBooks 2005

Yes you can download to CSV. Not sure about the technical limits or the exact method though. (I do a "all everyday accounts to a single OFX file" via a link on the right hand side of the "home" page.

Is anyone else having problems with getting into their online dealing account with Barclay's right now?

Yes. They've been having issues on and off over the last day or two. Mainly seems to be affecting the mobile app but I've had issues with the website as well.

Yes last night while trying to do some fairly major ( for me ) transactions 'rate my service' 'pop ups' kept appearing. Took time out to switch them off in the security setting but seems you can only make them anonymous. I really don't like 'pop ups' on bank web sites and if this continues it will drive me away from Barclays after 45 years.

It started for me last week when I couldn't get past the 1st page they sent me a new 5 digit which worked for a while but all of a sudden it's back to not getting past the 1st page.

I was asked to go to my nearest Bank and get someone to verify I am who I say I am which I have, but still can't get past that 1st page.

They will now send out another one which I have to ignore but use the another one they send.

What a shambles Barclays are when they make changes!

There are also problems with their new Pingit app. It is impossible to set up a top-up on low balance. The old bPay app was a doddle by comparison.

Solved the problem at long last after receiving my 3 or 4th 5 digit number I finally got talked through it.. hooray

Unless I'm missing something obvious, the Barclays CSV (or Money) export has Transaction Date, Transaction Amount, Transaction Description, all lovely... but lacks the Balance!
