there is much in the press about UK banks closing bank accounts held here by 'expats'
the reason expats hold such accounts is understandable imo (pensions and such)

I believe UK banks see reasons to close such accounts...EU regs or something!!

but
what I dont see anywhere is what...if anything will be the situation for UK residents/citizens who hold bank accouts in the EU
with EU banks!

is there anything in the regulltions that causes changes?....and if not...why is it a 'one way' issue?

I think there are two main issues with UK banks offering accounts to eu residents.....

1. Wether the bank has a licence to operate in the individual eu countries. and
2. Wether they think it's worth continuing to offer accounts .

Surely those issues are the same for any eu banks wishing to offering accounts to UK residents.
