Re: Premium Bonds
£450 on 2 max holdings this month. £50 shy of last month. Reasonable for tax free instant access.
Re: Premium Bonds
My wife got a measly £50 from her max holding. However I pulled my max holding earlier in the year and sunk it into a 5.2% fix for 12 months. So far I'm in front but she's hoping for the big one (well so am I )

Re: Premium Bonds
£600 total from 2 x £50k holdings - I would like to chuck these on the mortgage but as ever unexpected cash demands aim to differ...

Re: Premium Bonds
Cashed in some PBs, choosing the option of encashment immediately after the December draw. Draw was on Friday, money arrived in my account the following Tuesday. Seems efficient.

Re: Premium Bonds
A quick aside:
I got a letter from PB people a few days after the Dec draw to say that one of my bonds had been allocated a prize that "the previous allocated winner wasn't eligible to receive". My bank did in fact show the transfer, but the 'prize checker' NS&I page only showed the two Dec winnings that I knew about (and in fact still does).
Being both curious and suspicious, I phoned to check and after some internal checking on their side, they came back to say apparently it does happen very occasionally, for example "if a person has more than 50,000 in holdings or more than one account." (Two things I would have thought were impossible, but there you go...)

It does happen. It may also be a deceased holder where NS&I had not been notified soon enough etc (i.e. beyond the time that deceased's holdings are permitted to be held in the draw after death). You can tell the month and year of the prize by the first 3 digits of the payment reference e.g. Dec 2023 began with 799, and Nov 2023 was 798.

Re: Premium Bonds
£125 split 1x£25 and 1x£100 on full holding.
Moved from cash savings into premium bonds as maxed out my tax free interest months ago but only now got round to reordering finances to reflect that.

Re: Premium Bonds
£100 2x £50 for January on a holding of 11k . £175 total for 2023 , so a very good start hope it continues , but doubt it.

Re: Premium Bonds
Jan: 1 x £50 on two full holdings.
Dec: £325 + £200
Nov: £150 + £200
I was expecting the knock on the door this Monday. As always it never happened.

Apparently the "knock" comes in the days preceding the first of the month.
