Just believe in the law of averages. My wife's £50k has yielded £50 every month for the past 6 months, except for one month of £75. Very much par for the course.

I can't say ditto this time as my total was only £575 but that's the best year I have had for some time. Not a brilliant return on £50k but in view of the dearth of dividends it is gratefully received.

Nice to hear even a tiny bit of good news for a change, especially as I've just heard that my Newcastle Bldg. Soc. cash isa, which started at 5% for 5 years some years ago is being reduced to 0. 25% from May 1. I shall be having that out pdq. and using it to pay my bills now that dividends have mostly dried up.

I didn't read in NS&I's own announcement that they would go back to RPI rather than CPI so far as the index-linked certs. are concerned, i.e. renewals. We are bound to get less than previously, I should think.
