Santander interest rate reduction 20th May

Easy access saver rate is reducing on 20th May from 5.20% to 4.20%

That's quite a big drop. Have I missed a bank of England rate reduction.

Maybe they have some insider info on an upcoming cut.

My Easy Access Saver Limited Edition (Issue 1) only pays 3.98%.

Time to investigate.

I have had a couple of savings accounts reduce the rate recently.

I will be moving most of the contents out of this one.

Will have to look to see what's at the top of the best buy tables.

I think I have the same account as Gerry557, and mine is the EASY ACCESS SAVER LIMITED EDITION (ISSUE 3) (A)

The cut takes effect on 20th May but was announced a couple of months ago. (8th March according to the moneysavingexpert.com article: https://www.moneysavingexpert.com/news/ ... -rate-cut/)

I missed the march announcement so went hunting to find out why.

I did find an unread email telling me a document was available on the app. I've been to this part recently but it was empty.

Anyway whilst reading the info I went back to the app and then it appeared. It seems very slow to load so I think I just clicked back before it had chance as it appeared empty.

Anyway I know now so need to find a better home.
