Hodge and Ford banks

I year bonds are 1.7 to 1.8%. Both pay monthly which I like. I have also tried RCI (Renault) which is OK, but French FCSC scheme.
Ford defaults to another 1 year bond unless you tell them in time, which is a hassle if you're travelling. Hodge is now online, with 30,000 savings customers.
Anyway, does anyone have experience with Hodge and Ford banks?

I have a regular saver with Ford Money, and have had no problems with them at all. They seem very efficient.
