Hi,
I'm looking for an alternative to real estate agents. I want to cut my costs when it comes to advertising my properties. Do you know any reliable alternatives, that are also time efficient?
Cheers

Online advertising for rental property
Re: Online advertising for rental property
Hi
I've used Openrent the last few times with my property. Sometimes just relying on applicants from just their (free) website and sometimes paying £29 to be included on all the major portals (Rightmove, Zoopla, Gumtree etc).
Their system is very user friendly and makes it easy to track enquiries.
They also offer a referencing service for £20 per person.

Gumtree.
Local newspapers.
Local shop windows.
Company notice boards in large local firms.
Large sign in window of property.
Your own website.
Professional magazines/ websites.....medical, teaching, engineering etc.
Word of mouth.....offer finders fee.
Etc.
You are only limited by your own imagination.

Another recommendation for OpenRent. I had to beat off offers with a stick just using their free listing. Very well thought out website and service. Will use again the next time I need tenants.

Excellent looking site, many thanks for the recommendations. They have 68 properties listed in Reading so seem to have very good market penetration. I'm gonna try them next time I get one vacant too. Will report back what happens. Might be a long time though as most of my tenants seem to stick around for years nowadays!
