I found this:

http://www.rightmove.co.uk/house-prices.html

Type in your postcode and it gives the prices at which houses were sold in your locality.

Just to say that Zoopla's website have a similar facility (third tab along is 'House Prices & Values').

Cheers, OLTB.

The RightMove site is clearer for historical prices. The Zoopla estimated prices look rather optimistic to me. It looks to me as though they are overstating to likely selling price by a good 15%.

The good thing about the Zoopla one is that if the property has been listed on there before you can click on 'Property History' to see the listing and even the photographs - much easier to compare properties this way, and I'm surprised that Rightmove don't do the same.

It looks to me like it does. I'd not heard of Rightmove's sold price site until I read this thread , I'd used houseprices.co.uk which morphed into Zoopla, but having just looked at a few of my old houses, several of the listings in the streets I've browsed have thumbnails of the properties, and clicking on them takes you to the Rightmove sales page, including photos, floorplans etc
