There's an offer involving linked Nectar and eBay accounts.

I believe there's a permanent offer to turn 500 Nectar points into £ 2.50 of eBay vouchers. What's new and presumably for a limited time only is an offer to give half the Nectar points back. So if you spend 1000 Nectar points you get a £ 5 voucher and 500 Nectar points. In effect you have given up 500 Nectar points for a £ 5 voucher.

Such 2 for 1 (or better) offers are commonplace with Tesco Clubcard points but a rarity with Nectar.

I does suppose that you are prepared to use eBay and there's something you want to buy.

Is it just me though that finds Nectar generally poor?

With Tesco Points we have had plenty of 4x family days out vouchers or 4x free meals at restaurants like Pizza Express. For Nectar, I'm hard-pressed to find anywhere worth spending them.

I've been holding out against exchanging the points at par for Sainsbury's shopping, but better value offers seem few and far between. Tesco Clubcard offers relatively few collection opportunities, just Tesco itself and some Esso garages, but a much wider range of exchange offers at better than 1 to 1.

I took advantage of that offer a while ago, but I think it's by invitation only.
