Supermarket "Meal Deal"s can be like that. The ones that offer a main, a side, and a drink for a flat £3 or £3.50.
Tescos especially offer some rather good mains and some expensive drinks in the deal. I've found myself there with no side I actually wanted, asking if I could get just the two items for the Meal Deal price. Answer: no, just get the crisps or chocolate and give them to the homeless chap sitting outside.
