Amazon free postage

#255618

Postby cinelli » October 3rd, 2019, 1:26 pm

Free postage for orders over £20. But often it's not as simple as that because some items don't qualify. Is there a way to check which items do or don't qualify? I find myself ordering stuff only to find at the paying stage that postage has been added.

The only items that don't qualify are 'Items sold by Marketplace Sellers but dispatched by Amazon' and 'Gift Cards'. If you mix an Amazon order and one sold by a Marketplace Seller make sure the Amazon order is over £20.

I've usually got a little list going of top-up items that I pinch from when wanting to go into the free-delivery window, but if you've not got something like that yourself then there are online tools available where you can enter the price-required to reach £20, and they'll list items for that price that you can then choose from to top-up your basket.

Here's an example that also allows you to categorise your top-up searches -

I use extensive use of the free-delivery option, and find that offer, along with my local Amazon postal lockers, copes with about 90% of my online-purchase requirements.

It's no shock to me that many high-streets are suffering...

Cheers,

Well, if other retailers have to pay tax, but some don't, then it's understandable.
