Sainsbury's clothing

#34230

Postby Clariman » February 24th, 2017, 1:26 pm

I was a dyed in the wool M&S man for many years, where I could trust their quality and I knew stuff would fit. The quality has declined a great deal over the years, but the prices don't seem to have declined in the same way.

Last autumn I bought a few shirts from Sainsbury's ('Tu' range) to take on holiday. I took a punt because they were 20% or 25% off and only cost between £14 and £16 at label price anyway. They were very good. So I bought a few more earlier this week with a 25% discount offer. These are even better quality and really cheap.

No doubt everyone else has been buying inexpensive clothes for years! :)

Yes, normally very good for the price. I've bought decent cotton 'work shirts' for c £15
I also buy their underwear and socks which are more than adequate
As noted, they often have 25% off all Tu clothing 'weekends' so worth checking. My local one has a sale ever couple of months typically

I wold imagine the initial factory such standard (white work shirts, black trousers etc) clothing comes out of is not unique to M&S, or sainsbury's or wherever. I wold expect much such cheap clothing to be fairly universal but just with different labels inside .

Then again, I know nothing about the rag trade :-)

Tu-range T-shirts, two for £8. Decent quality, second year now and use them for sports too.
