Makes zero sense big tobacco will disappear when all the world is legalizing cannabis. If anything their market will grow as they diversify IMO.

Has smoking suddenly got popular? I see BATS (+5.5%) and IMPs (+2.5%) are both "up" today after weeks in the doldrums.

From what I understand Phillips in USA put out some good info or something, and this had a knock on effect. I got this from Bloomberg tv. Glad I’ve topped up three times already this year, not that share prices matter. :D

What is the difference between the iQUOS that PM makes and the e-cigs. the other manufacturers are making? Are the former less likely to be banned in places like San Francisco and is it known whether they are less harmful?

I think the differences lie in heating tobacco, as opposed to vaporising an oil. Which is which requires further research, but I understand that IQOS is heated tobacco.

TJH is correct. IQOS is a heat-not-burn tobacco product, and e-cigarettes are vaping products.

Thanks. I daresay both are harmful to some extent.
