April Dividend Payment and Ex Dividend Dates

#129003

Postby Itsallaguess » March 30th, 2018, 1:44 pm

Well, a new tax-year is almost upon us, so to kick it all off here's a list of April dividend payments and ex-dividend dates that we can expect for next month.

Dividend payments first -

And these are the ex-dividend companies for April -

Apologies for any omissions in the above data. I've compared the original list to the EPIC's listed on the HYPTUSS data-sheet, so hopefully there shouldn't be too may issues.

The above data has been compiled from the really useful 'Dividend Data' website (https://tinyurl.com/ybvcatga / https://tinyurl.com/y6wun8yj)

The previous list for March can be found here - viewtopic.php?f=15&t=10684

Cheers,

Good effort Itsallaguess, thank you. Just the five payments for me, those being Pennon Group, Diageo, HSBC, GlaxoSmithKline, and Rio Tinto.

Thanks for this. A few payments for me also. I see that the ex d for PHP is the first day of the tax year so I will have to be quick to make my isa purchase on that day in order to qualify for the dividend

Sorry April, but the ex-dividend date of 5 April is the last day of this tax year. The first day of the new one is 6 April, so you'll be too late.

But at least, all other things being equal, you'll get it a bit cheaper on the 6th as it will have had the value of the divi knocked off the price on the ex-divi date.

I noticed that the Persimmon dividend credited to my account on 3 Apr (£1,810 on 1448 shares) wasn't included in the list but on checking I see it was supposed to have been paid on March 29; quite a gap. Do the platforms have to wait for dividend cheques to clear before crediting one's account?
Needless to say it was more than the 7 other divs. I received in this ISA in April put together. Glad they are in an ISA and that I've gifted the certificated holding to grandchildren now that the dividend allowance has come down to £2k. which is creating a lot of headaches and work for me.
