Investec INVP news

Investec has published a pre-close trading update here:-

If you had to pick two economies currently operating at the turbulent end of the scale, I guess you would probably pick the UK and South Africa.....

However, INVP appears to be doing tolerably well despite these handicaps.

The company also announced plans to split the asset management side off from traditional banking and wealth management:-

The asset management company will be listed on the LSE, with a secondary listing in Johannesburg. The split is expected to be completed within twelve months.

I bought INVP several times between 2009 and 2013, and it now comprises just over 3% of my 45-share HYP. The forecast yield id 5.24%, almost exactly matching my HYP's overall yield.
