SKY - cash received
Morning all
So, my HL cash account is more flush than it was and the 'market trading' of SKY shares has settled.
Now - where to invest the proceeds...I was thinking about something uncontentious like Unilever.
Cheers, OLTB.

Same here. I won't have a 'media' company as such (though I do have VOD).
I was thinking about WPP or ITV for some of it.

Need to be quick, ITV goes ex-dividend on Thursday or you might get it a bit cheaper by waiting

One doesn't have to have a media constituent in their HYP so it could go to anything high yielding that has good enough prospects for increasing and sustaining a dividend that would not upset portfolio concentration limits. I did toy with an ITV/WPP split but now I think I'm just going to look at the best highest yields I can see that works within my overall portfolio.

I am ready to include another sector in my HYP and have settled on media and chose WPP over ITV as they have slightly better yield and cover but there is not much in it.

An off-the-cuff suggestion (i.e. not the result of a thorough look at the market) is Legal & General. It's in the FTSE100, it fits diversification-wise - you've only got one financial at present, and that's a bank rather than a life assurance company - and it's got a pretty high yield at present.

Re: SKY - cash received
Many thanks Gengulphus.
I should have said i have another ISA consisting:- BLND;BNC;AV;LLOY;VOD;IMB;LGEN;SSE;VZC;BT-A
As you can see already have Legal & General.Although this is a smaller value holdings, most are £4000, apart from LLOY; AV; BNC; VZC.
Realy value your input,so any suggestions gratefully accepted.
Very best regards, Dickie.

You don't have a miner at the moment. Maybe RIO with a yield of 6.2% would fit in well.
