An interim dividend of 32.7 pence per share (H1 FY18: 31.4p), an increase on last year of
4.0%, amounting to £60 million, was declared by the Board on 22 October 2018.
The dividend will be paid on 14 December 2018 to all
shareholders on the register at the close of business on 9 November 2018.
Whitbread of course has sold Costa Coffee to Coca Cola, and will become basically Premier Inn. I'm expecting a chunk of cash to be returned next year which I'll have to do something with, and have possibly now missed the best opportunity to sell the whole lot and recycle since the sp has dipped some again today since that announcement.
