Re: Kier Group Trading Update.
Wow. Brutal share price fall, reminiscent of Carillion. 90% loss of capital over the last several years.
40% dividend yield anyone? Anyone?
Best high yield opportunity going: until it cancels the dividend to save cash, that is.

Good heavens. Sp down 42% as I type. My sympathy towards holders. I did look at them a few years ago when I held Carillion, but never bought into the Kier.

Share price quoted at 163p a few minutes ago. Contractors are not a good place to be

Re: Kier Group Trading Update.
The whole company is valued at less than the amount raised by the rights issue in December!
Edit to add: the Kuvari short presentation that was circulated around last year has proved to be distressingly accurate. They got Carillion right also, so I will take close note of their position and opinion carefully in future.
Edit 2: checking here: https://whalewisdom.com/filer/kuvari-pa ... tions_link
I see they also correctly spotted Mitie as a target.

Re: Kier Group Trading Update.
Kier has now suspended its dividends. This is (IMHO) a significant enough piece of news in HYP terms to be worth drawing to HYPers' attention with a new thread and thread title, so I've done so - see viewtopic.php?f=15&t=18133.

Re: Kier Group Trading Update.
Now down at 110p. Seems more like Carillion every time I look....
I called dividend cut up thread! (not the hardest piece of prognostication I have ever had to do at 40% yield fc..... Still gratifying to be proved right....)
If I were a holder I would be taking any price I could get and running for the exit. Its priced as junk equity for a reason.

In so far as this board is concerned, it might well be that they are no longer High Yield.
Edit: Gengulphus commenced a Kier dividend suspension thread here:
