NOTICE OF TRADING UPDATE





Greene King will be announcing a trading update for the 36 weeks to 06 January 2019 on 08 January 2019.

That's early this year, very early.

2016 - issued 10 February (update to 7 February)
2017 - issued 10 February (update to 5 February entitled STRONG CHRISTMAS TRADING)
2018 - issued 25 January (update to 14 January)
2018 - to be issued 8 January (update to 6 January)

I wonder if they're keen to get some good news out, although there was no price reaction at the time the update was issued (15:34)

Morrison's Christmas update is on the same day as the Greene King next week.

Sounds like bad news judging by the update turnround time compared with previous years. Clearly fewer pints to count this time

Anecdotal, I know, but I couldn't book a table for Boxing Day lunchtime/afternoon dining at either of my two nearest GNK pubs....

Probably a good thing - last year I took the whole family, and the (pre-discount) bill was over £300.
