Thanks, seems ok. Board seem welded to continue paying the dividend. The plan seems to be to essentially be to partially iquidate it's self, but for the weaker parts of the estate t hats probably no bad thing.

Thanks for putting this up Ian, I must admit I missed it. I'm not overly concerned about the contents of the announcement, and shall continue to hold. It's not gone down well in the market, with the sp down over 3%.

The indication is that the div will be held at 7.5p for some years. Has already been at that level for 2017 and 18.
So a forward but frozen yield of about 7.6% at 99p. Is that yield sufficiently high for a trade-off against no rise for probably quite some time? A question for potential new HYP investors in the share. Existing HYP holders prob won't sell, even those following tinker dumpology.
I continue to hold. Got some sort of discount card for MARS bars but have never used it so far.

On the headline LFL sales numbers these do not look as good as Greene King's numbers. But then IIRC Greene king saw LFL profits down, so maybe that is not an altogether bad thing.
Terry.
Hold Greene King, but no holding in MARS

It's sitting at number 3 on my HYP top up sheet, but I hold in an unsheltered account at the moment and I'll possibly sell in March to transfer the proceeds to an ISA. Capital is down 32% from purchase and a frozen dividend doesn't inspire me to repurchase.
(I normally first sell those shares with the highest capital gain in the unsheltered account but the remaining dozen or so shares are all showing a loss)

I was encouraged by these results. For years, investors have complained about Marston's debt levels, and here it is doing something about it.

Likewise, they seem to have made the switch from borrowing to expand while generating unimpressive margins, to selling off lower performing bits to pay down some debt. Encouraging shift in emphasis.
I hold, but a bit nervously. It is on my top up veto list.

I don't think I will top up but I am happy to wait and reinvest the dividends.

I don't intend topping up either, mainly as I have a 'full' holding. I'm happy to hold onto my shares though.
