What will interest me is what this does for the sector as a whole and specifically Persimmon PLC (PSN) and Crest Nicholson Holdings (CRST), both of which I do hold.

Sky News has learnt that Bovis Homes Group has approached Galliford Try in the last few weeks about a combination of a large chunk of their operations.
If consummated, a ‎deal would represent a fresh catalyst for consolidation in Britain's housebuilding sector.

I would have thought that given your knowledge on most sectors of the stock market that you would have had fairly firm views on this development.

I'd be surprised if this goes through...GFRD's new CEO ( Mr Prothero) won't be keen.
Bovis' CEO (Mr Fitzgerald) was the former GFRD boss.
