I'm inclined to agree with your comments over there Ian.
My HSBA ordinaries yield 7.1% tonight. By comparison my Santander (SAN) prefs yield 6.3%, as low as they will probably ever be.
I don't think I've seen the gap in their respective yields so wide. Now might be an opportune time to swap my SAN for HSBA.
