The Artic Fox rig spudded the Merlin-2 well on 7 March 2022

Allister Caird, 88 Energy’s Exploration Manager, has arrived on site and provided this unique view of the Merlin-2 operations from his arrival flight.

Very significant differences between Merlin-1 and Merlin-2. From all the information so far it looks likely that Merlin-2 will deliver net oil pay, and of a very decent size given the thicker than expected reservoir. Fingers crossed could be boom time next week with the next update.

Merlin 1

1. Mud gas peaks were also recorded and, although generally not of the same scale of the increase in total gas above background as that seen in the Analogue Wells, one of the prospective horizons in Merlin-1 did have substantially elevated total gas
2. With slow to moderate sometimes fast streaming cut when exposed to solvent

Merlin 2

1. Finally, significant mud gas peaks were detected across all target sequences
2. Target intervals are thicker than those encountered in Merlin-1
3. “moderately fast” to “immediate and blooming” “cuts” were noted, the speed of which is often a PROXY for sample PERMEABILITY.

Now down 57% - although fair play to them, the drop only started 5 minutes before the RNS was released at 11.21, that's pretty tight by the standards of most E&Ps...

One of those random little things I noticed that might be of use to someone. I was looking at secondary listings of London E&P's in the US (as you do) and it's striking how the only ones that are really traded are Pantheon and 88E. But Pantheon's US trades (PTHRF) are only 13% of trades in London (per Yahoo), whereas 88E's (EEENF) are 75% of London.

So if you're struggling for size in London, this is perhaps the only London E&P where it might be worth looking at the US quote.

88E is on the OTCQX. Which is the top tier of the OTC forms. Being on OTC QX makes it very easy for US investors to buy shares in the company.

PANR currently is not on OTCQX.....however they are listing on the OTCQX very soon, which should then see a lot more trading in PANR shares in the USA under the ticket PTHRF.

The news was in the recent PANR RNS

https://www.investegate.co.uk/pantheon- ... 00033944W/

............ Corporate Update

The Company is also pleased to announce that it is in the process of applying for the Company's ordinary share capital to trade on the OTC Market's OTCQX trading platform in the Unites States. The OTCQX is the top tier of the three marketplaces for the OTC trading of stocks and will allow U.S. investors greater ability to access the Company's Ordinary Shares in U.S. dollars and during U.S. market hours. The Company is not seeking a fundraising in conjunction with this process. ................

Or the Aussie quote, the volume on the ASX is 40% more than in London, although the spread is no better. And depending on your broker trading on the ASX can be a pain just because of the timezones.

But it's certainly very unusual for a company of this size to have usable liquidity in three countries.
