The important thing, though pipsmum, is the deal.

Yes, they've had to give up a lot of their working interest in Ruvuma, but they get free carried to production, and on the seismic and C-1 well, which could add a lot of value, plus a bit of cash. They are now in a far better position than before, where they had potentially v large resources in the ground, but not the funds to satisfy their licence obligations and move things forward.

A pull back is no surprise, there are many holders who will have been only too happy to exit at today's highs, but this lays the foundations for much more significant moves, and I'd expect to see some more SP strength over the next week or two, as the news gets digested.

Thank you. Yesterdays blip enabled a tiny partial sale of some of the cheaper shares bought @2.28 then sold @2.93 and then a rebuy today of exactly the same shares at the profited price, so a free extra 1732 shares obtained with a tiny mini profit and still allowing for the two sales commishes. Just too slow to decide during the speedy blip to obtain the much higher price of 3.4 as it lasted just moments. Now in the same position as the day before yesterday but with more shares. A tiny bit more patience could have improved that further this afternoon but it's still good.

Now more waiting.... it will be very interesting to see what happens now.

The time scales and likely news vacuum make me wonder... Recent s/p action is reminiscent of the AEX of old, don't you think?

You may be right about the time scales, and the next two weeks may be looking optimistic today for much SP strength! But while the price action seems reminiscent of some past AEX history (and which probably explains some of it), the position they appear to be in now looks very different to me. They now have an operator with experience, deep pockets and Tanzanian connections, and a funding deal to production at a reasonable starting rate, plus carry for drilling and 3D that should increase that potential significantly. Of course the interest is the field is down more than hoped or expected (I'd guess most were looking at more like half the existing interest - 37.5%, not 25%). But they also didn't have an ongoing explo licence.

AEX has been drifting over the this year as with the KN-1 problems they didn't have the resources to move forward, and I suspect, satisfy TPDC that they would make good use of a licence extension. That has now changed. I'd expect to hear of the licence extension being signed fairly soon (though it could wait till the farm out is finalised)

Yes this will not happen as quickly as many hope - C-1 may well take to the end of the year to spud by the time all is signed off, but there will be news on the licence, and hopefully moves forward on KN being discussed in the meantime.

But AEX is certainly worth more today that 2 days ago in my view. And has the potential to be worth a fair bit more again over the next 12-18 months.

Don't disagree although we've not had any news on the depletion issue and compressor, have we?
Seems like time's available for people to sell down and look to buying back later.

I agree re the lack of news re KN-1. There's apparently a presentation on Monday, which I'd assume will be made available, and has to address that. I wasn't at the AGM, so I've no idea if questions were asked on the subject, and what any answers might have been.

Whats with the recent creep upwards? Anyone in the know? Each has been a mere blip or few to precipitation of further down so far.

I think a lot of people are waiting for news on the licence renewal, and perhaps a clearer schedule for Ch-1 drilling. A confirmation of those would likely produce a significant boost to the SP. I suspect several of the recent spikes are resulting from people jumping to conclusions about news being imminent from small upward moves and piling in, then out again when nothing appears in the next day or two. There are plenty of posts on advfn, twitter etc saying "news tomorrow" every time there's an uptick. Sad really!

This share is showing signs of waking up. Is this share just turning in it's sleep or is there really a horizon rather than a mirage?

I completely missed the last upwards blip @1.59 in Oct 19 and would likely have sold on it, so maybe there is hope yet. I last bought @1.25p and bought some more @0.88 just because I seem to like this dog for no good reason at all and maybe partly to average down.

Currently buy @1.05 and sell @1p

A news report out today.

https://www.ippmedia.com/en/features/tanzania’s-natural-gas-sector-%C2%A0elusive-economic-game-changer

Note that it says

"Current reports indicate that the PSAs review was completed by early January 2020 and companies should receive drafts or final text by the end of the MOTH'

Moths in the wallet... sounds about right.....

Finally, after years and years waiting for this ruddy mine to produce the goods. I've completely lost it with this share.... so now watch carefully because my track record of shedding shares means the SP will now go rocketing up for all other more determined holders....

So just for the sheer devils mood of it, I've sold all mine at a horrendous loss and bought Aston Martin shares instead. Completely and purely for no good reason at all except that i'd I prefer the risk of trying to support a James Bond sports car company.

Call me daft but I'm really enjoying seeing the name Aston Martin at the top of my share list rather than Aminex as it's the nearest I'll ever get to owning one. Done deed. Very happy even though it now shows a loss too. Don't care and will hang on for years or until it goes bust.

The perennial jam tomorrow company....
Not one of my best share choices, but at a fraction of a penny, it's just not worth selling!

If that wasn't bad enough, there is also Pharos, another penny stock that I should have sold at £4, but that is another story...

Woh is me !

My feeling is they just keep everyone hanging on so they can take a salary and that's it. I do hope to be proved so wrong one day.

I think we'll all be pushing daisies before this company actually does anything. Theres an EGM tomorrow so we'll see what gets mentioned. Probably more to do with brexit and the share platforms than strategy.

They've shaved 2018 salary costs by shaving off two main staff.

I bought a few more today @0.455 just because I've had this share so long that otherwise I'd miss the name on my share list.....

These are almost worth having for the sheer devils wait.

About a year later and you've doubled your money. Looks as if the action will be starting soon.
