So now 300 North Sea contract drillers/maintenance "covered by the United Kingdom Drilling Contractors Association (UKDCA)" working for Archer, Maersk, Transocean and Odfjell are voting for strikes with "48-hour stoppages every second week for the first eight weeks" starting 20 and 21 October. Hard to think of a group of workers who have more leverage on pay rises, but it's a consideration for any companies drilling in the North Sea this autumn - Deltic's Pensacola is being drilled by Maersk for instance.

Another quiet day, with Serinus being hammered for a duster at Moftinu Nord-1 although it only reversed the unexplained gains of a few days ago. Still, it seems to be forming a double bottom around the £10m mark.... Meanwhile Reabold confirm that it's Shell buying the Victory asset (via Corallian).
Wildcat waffle on without a deal, OTOH you can't help feeling that like SDX, they are operating in some good places and now have some serious people behind them who are likely to get a deal done.
VOG continue to look precarious, unable to raise any funds until at least one of their lawsuits is resolved - what a mess. They promise an update later this month, implying an outline deal will be done by then but they are negotiating from a position of immense weakness. Zenith continue to make wheelbarrows of cash from Italian electricity. Gyllenhammar continues to accumulate PressureTech.

Owing to the financial uncertainty created by the ICC Award against GDC, the Company's shares were suspended from trading on AIM as announced on 4th April 2022. The suspension of VOG's shares remains in place whilst the Company attempts to finalise a settlement with RSM as noted above. A further announcement will be made later this month to update shareholders....
Until there is resolution with RSM, the Company is unable to raise funds via the equity markets. In addition, given the debt level and material uncertainty with respect to the ICC Award, it is practically impossible for the Company to raise debt financing. The parent company is therefore currently wholly reliant on internally generated funds, the receipt of which vary in quantum and timing. As a result, the financial position of the Company is precarious.

Well logging and gas show readings determined that these zones had indications of residual gas, but they do not contain sufficient gas resources to justify proceeding with the testing and completion program for the well....
Having previously defaulted on the rig contract, La Compagnie Tunisienne de Forage ("CTF"), the Tunisia state-owned drilling company, has confirmed the availability of its CTF-04 rig to perform the workover and installation of artificial lift for the W-1 well in Sabria. This rig is expected to be mobilized to the W-1 wellsite and commence work in Q4 2022. Once the CTF-04 rig has mobilized to the W-1 site, workover and installation operations are expected to take 60 days to complete. A third-party engineering study contracted by the Company estimates that the W-1 well will have mean gross initial production rate of 796 barrels of oil equivalent per day ("boe/d"), with the Company's net share being 358 boe/d.
Immediately following the completion of the W-1 workover and artificial lift installation, the CTF-04 rig will move to the Sabria N-2 well to perform a workover to recomplete the well.

Finshing off today, and also testing some code updates - the Shell buyback analysis had been broken since they started buying back on multiple exchanges in two currencies, but that's now fixed and adds them up in sterling. Also done the Stifel buybacks (DEC/JSE/PHAR) which almost manage to use the same format but not quite, grrr, the Gran Tierra buybacks, and fixed a longstanding niggle with the header formatting that I'd always had to fix manually. So only minor changes on the front end, but it speeds things up a bit for me behind the scenes.

Scirocco beat off the Ruvuma rebels, despite a well-timed RNS showing the 2-year payback of their renewable investment last year, 69:31 was probably closer than they would have liked.
I'm a bit obssessed with Enquest debt, they've been paying it off at $57m/month in H1 which would have cleared it in just over a year, but in the current envronment it's probably no bad thing to refinance the 7% debt due next October - they've turned half of it into a new RBL (having just about paid off the old one) and are paying 11⅝% nominal at an issue price of 98.611% for the new 2027 notes, having refinanced the retail element at 9% in April.
Solid update from PetroTal - short-term problems with drought affecting barge deliveries but looking to clear debt within 6 months and begin returns to shareholders. Also solid from Block, seems the market was expecting more news from JSR-01 currently under testing. Arrow going very nicely, plan to double production by Christmas, might be one to look at although single-country Colombia.

at the meeting of the holders of the Company's Luxembourg listed EUR 20.0m 8.0% secured notes (the "Notes") held earlier today (the "Noteholder Meeting"), the proposals to restructure the Notes as announced on 5 September 2022 (the "Proposals") were duly passed by the requisite majority with voting instructions representing EUR 10.5m of the Notes lodged by holders of the Notes, with 66.67 per cent. of votes cast in favour.
The Proposals remain conditional upon the approval by the Company's shareholders at a General Meeting to be held at 2:00 p.m. on 24 October 2022 at the offices of Fieldfisher LLP, 2 Swan Lane, London, EC4R 3TT (the "GM") and should approval be given, €15.0 million of existing debt principal, together with accrued interest thereon, will be converted into new ordinary shares in the Company ("Ordinary Shares") at a 76.4 per cent. premium to the closing mid-market price per Ordinary Share on 12 October 2022:

Quiet day - we finally lose TransGlobe to the VAALCO merger, who promise 4.7% dividend among other goodies. Coro still making pots of money in Italy, despite some production issues, they also give away 10% of the company to bondholders in lieu of payment. TomCo put back the Valkor loan again, but with a 2-week deadline they must be close to their financing - not easy in current circumstances. Total Q3 indicators suggest refining is still pretty crazy, if not as mad as Q2, they highlight LNG (which I think is going to have a very good winter). Opponents of UKOG's Loxley development lose an appeal in the High Court.

Based in Houston, Texas, Archaea Energy is a leading RNG producer, operating 50 RNG and landfill gas-to-energy facilities across the US, producing around 6,000 barrels of oil equivalent a day (boe/d) of RNG. At closing its production would be expected to provide an immediate 50% increase to bp's biogas supply volumes.

The mud-log confirmed multiple oil-bearing Wilcox sands from 9,050 feet to 9,850 feet. The Wilcox sands are the primary targets which notably have a long production history in nearby wells (mainly oil with some associated gas). The next steps are to run wireline logs followed by run and cement production casing, and then proceed to put the well on production. Flow tests are not required as the production capability is already demonstrated at the existing production wells in the lease area. Based on nearby well history, the anticipated production rate estimates remain at circa 120 boepd (gross)...Mosman owns a 75% working interest in the Cinnabar well and the Cinnabar lease.

Gross Production showed steady increases across the Company's projects save for the Falcon well which is currently shut-in pending a review. Net Production attributable to Mosman for Q1 was 6,958 boe (three months to 30 June 2022 of 8,815 boe). The results reflect continued strong production at Stanley and Winters. Notably, the loss of gas production at Falcon has been mitigated by higher value oil production increases at Stanley.
At Stanley, several recent workovers have increased both oil and gas production resulting in the recent five-day average gross production at Stanley and Winters combined achieving 193 bopd and 628 mcfd or circa 300 boepd in aggregate. VAALCO have the FSO up and running at Etame, things going well but it looks like they will kitchen sink a bunch of one-offs in Q3 to do with the FSO and merger. The Company maintained robust production in the Period, leading to a 25% increase in operating cash flow, before corporate taxes and pre-hedging. The first two wells of the six-well, fully-funded onshore drilling campaign were safely drilled, completed and brought into production during the Period. These wells commenced production at an initial aggregate rate of approximately 113 bopd. The third well in the programme has subsequently been drilled successfully and is in the process of being completed, with production anticipated to commence within the next two weeks.
Extended supply chain lead times for specialist drilling tools will result in a delay to the Company's planned horizontal well, which is now expected to be drilled in Q2 2023. The Company has taken the decision to delay the fourth conventional well in the programme, which was scheduled to be drilled immediately in advance of the horizontal well, to create operational synergies with the rig operations across these two wells. The Company is actively looking to drill the planned deep well, or additional conventional wells, in advance of the horizontal well, but any decision will be subject to matters outside of the Company's control including regulatory approvals and supply chain constraints.
The Company's production guidance for 2022 remains unchanged at 2,900-3,100 bopd.

Sound update on their two Morocco licences that expired this month, they've asked to extend Grand Tendrara with a well commitment, they're talking to the authorities about Sidi Moktar where they haven't completed the commitments.
