The OP doesn't explain the purpose of the question. If it's important to get the right answer, I would be wary of assuming that pension annuity terms are a close match for purchase life annuities/non pension annuity terms.
I haven't looked at PLA terms for a while but historically it was a much smaller, less competitive market place than pension annuities, with the only buyers being HNW individuals (who have on average have longer life expectancy) , who are spending their hard earned cash on an entirely voluntary basis (so further self-selecting), and terms were set accordingly.
Tthe tax treatment is different as well.
