Golly I though you meant only a few thousand acres.
As to your question I would simply follow the advice in your attachment and make a visit to the local sherriff court and see what they can do to help you. I have always found mine to be very helpful. Just as long as you keep away from Edinburgh where there seems to be a big backlog.
