My Eviction- final post , and a belated "Thanks"

To cut a long story short;
I found a new place near work late August and moved in late September. There was a two week overlap, which was ideal.
The letting was done via UPAD, which all worked very well and cost me....about £75. Bit cheaper than the £300 to £600 the local agencies were charging
I got most of my deposit back on the old place - total deductions £80 from £790 (for cleaning). I know some may say I should have fought for the whole lot, but I was happy enough to (mentally) turn my back on the place and walk away with ~90% of my deposit

So, bit late in the day but a big thanks to all who posted with advice - special mention to modellingman for his detailed and useful posts.
